Sugamai

This song is our latest one. We wanted to try out a fast number with some synth and electronic tones... Intially done in F, but some how it dint sound well, and was scaled down to D. Now it sound good to us :) . Song sung By Nehru, an excellent singer, currently studing music at Music College in chennai. He has got the best singer award in Raagamalika( Jaya TV's music show). After participating in many levels he went through the final round and got the best singer award :) . Female vocals by Anusha. A big thanks to Rangan for the lyrics.

Song Recorded and Mixed at TSJ STUDIO, Chennai.

first of all, thanks to the whole blogswara community for taking the time out to listen to our songs and post comments. To be honest, we are a bit flattered by your encouraging comments :)

We were told about the blogswara website earlier this week by my colleague and its on our to-do list for this weekend (when we generally meetup) to listen to the tunes uploaded on ur website. We would definitely listen to ur pieces and post our comments...

@NV Sir, many thanks, glad u liked our tunes, will get in touch with u soon! and a big thanks for recommending our page to ur contacts!

@Murali, shades of suddha dhanyasi, but not true to the raaga though. We wanted to get a techno feel into the song, and hence the synth bass and technoish rhythm (and maybe thats why the arrangement sounds "modern"?)

@Anup, Jo, Barani and Pradip - thanks for the comments! keep visiting, we would try to keep this blog updated

Cheers
Shyam

Very nice melody, and good singing. I enjoyed listening to the piece.

How can I contact you guys? I am in Chennai on vacation now (I live in the US). I am not a singer, but a keyboard player and I am not looking for a chance to sing or play :) - only want to see you guys and look at your recording setup
