Ragasiyam

Ragasiyam is our most recent track, a love duet. We wanted to do a
ballad, but not sure how close we came to one! Tones are primarily
from the Fantom rack, korg TR rack, xphraze,Kontakt and hypersonic. We still feel we could have programmed more interesting rhy :)

probably one of the best elements in the song.

Sapthaswarangal Third Demo ( Viralodu Uravadum)

This is the third demo that we did for sapthaswarangal. So far no reject / no approval from Sun TV people.. Dunno if they wil accept this one. We initially did a scratch for 2 mins.. They heard the track and asked us to do an One min version of the song. So this is wat we did. Song Sung by Ashok(ashok.gopi@gmail.com), VijayNarain (r_vijaynarain@yahoo.com) and Aruna. Vijay and Aruna are Praveen's Juniors in college. They both are very good singers. Ashok and Aruna are the lead singer and vijay and Shyam has backed them up.
We wanted to add some Veena to this in some places but we couldnt get hold of someone who could play a veena :( . We've used some accoustic kits from Roland-Fantom XR, the patches are good but still we are looking for some better accoustic kit patches so that it will sound more realistic in some places :) . Anyways lets see wat SUN TV ppl thinks about this one. We are still waiting for our results :))

Sugamai

This song is our latest one. We wanted to try out a fast number with some synth and electronic tones... Intially done in F, but some how it dint sound well, and was scaled down to D. Now it sound good to us :) . Song sung By Nehru, an excellent singer, currently studing music at Music College in chennai. He has got the best singer award in Raagamalika( Jaya TV's music show). After participating in many levels he went through the final round and got the best singer award :) . Female vocals by Anusha. A big thanks to Rangan for the lyrics.

Sapthaswarangal Demo 2

Sapthaswarangal is a popular music based TV show. We were asked to do a title song for their new season. The first demo that we gave to them was rejected for some reason. This is the second one.. and they dint like this one too as they felt this might not be suitable for show title song.. They felt it had some romantic flavour in it.. so asked us to do another one... Anyway this is the second demo that we gave it to them. Its kinda classical based tune.

Good Morning 1

Good Morning is a coffee brand in Chennai... They have this instant coffee brand which was to be launched few months back, and we were asked to provide demo's for their ad jingle. This is the first demo, kinda goes slow with some tabla , guitar and flute backing. Unfortunately for us, they did not prefer our tunes.

Melange

Melange is the Cultural Fest at Sri Ramachandra Medical College, Chennai in Chennai. When we started working on this song, we didnt have much idea as to what we should be doing on this song, somthing like a block :).Then we started out with some chords from Xprazhe and built other tracks over it.

Anusha is Shyam's Colleague. She is professional carnatic singer.. has done few classical shows too. She has a very thin and clear voice, and is an excellent singer.

We did this song for Vectone TV. Vectone has wide range of channels and this one is for Vectone Tamil Channel. This is a channel id like "Neengal Paathu Kondirupadhu Vectone" ( You are watching Veconte TV).. Thanks to Satish again :) . Voice Over by Satish.
Song Sung by Vanathy. Vanathy is Praveen's School mate. She is Srilankan and a very good singer. She has a husky kinda voice.Very talented singer. Usually sings bhajans at lot of Samithis(Prayer halls).
Violin By ArulMurugan.. Arul Murugan is an excellent Violin Player and he is a student of Ms.Kanyakumari (Professional Classical Violinist). He has been playing violin right from his age of 6. This guy has amazing talent and can play anything in his violin :) Thanks to him.

Mandhamarutham

This is a 20 sec jingle that we did for Praveen's College cultural fiesta.. 'Mandhamarutham' is the name of the cultural prog.. its actually a sanskrit word and means 'Slow and gentle breeze' ... but the song doesnt go slow :) .. its a little fast one . Song sung by Shyam,Ashok and Suganya. Ashok is Praveen's college mate and he is a very good singer and has a beautiful voice. He sounds like Unnikrishnan(Playback singer) at times, but he doesnt do that purposely :) May be because both Ashok and Unnikrishnan learnt carnatic from the same guru (Ashok's Grandmother). Suganya is Praveen's Junior in college and she is a good singer too.

Podhum Manasey

Started this song before we started on the vectone news project... So once we completed the news we completed this track. We did some log drum loop using fruity loops but felt difficult to balance it.. its taking up so much space in song and i think we also used some ethnic strings tones from hypersonic and some arps form xphraze... Well i guess this is the first song we did using Nuendo. Dint find much difficult in using Nuendo as its interface is very similar to Cubase SX.

News-Final

This is the 3rd Demo that we gave Vectone Channel. This was accepted by them . They liked this one and i guess and its still being broadcasted there. Thanks to Satish again. :). We hired a Korg Triton Keyboard to record some tones.

Satish(Working in Vectone TV, UK) asked us to do a demo for News Title.. and this is the first demo that we did for vectone channel. But this was rejected as they felt it has more of asian flavour in it.

Rasi Silks

This is the first Jingle that we did.. Thanks to Satish who gave us this oppurtunity. This jingle was for Rasi Silks (in Srilanka). Video was shot here in chennai. It was aired for quite sometime in srilankan television. First song that we did using Cubase Software.

Eano Unakul

This is one of the earliest track that we did.. We recorded this song in Acid.. Had tough time getting the guitars from Reaon(S/w Synth) :) .. The quality of the song wont be so good as it was recorded on 2002(i think so). Thanks to Rangan for the beautiful lyrics.
