You guys are really good. The mixing and mastering of the songs are impeccable.But, all ur songs have almost always have the same tempo and the arrangment is soothing and full of keys.
For me, u are sufferring from what i call a Keyboard syndrome, meaning working too much from ur M3's or whatever ur using.i never saw a real edgy beat, or any variation in arrangements.You're supposedly fast song also drags, just by adding "hits synths" doesn't make it fast.
When u got a real chance to show off with this stage play, u fell flat with the same old tempo, bells and whistles from the keyboard and soft soothing vocals.The thing is any of ur themes isn't generating any emotions, this is because they are not representing what they are supposed to represent.
You guys are really good but it helps to get a GUT CHECK once in a while, rethink everything from the ground up as to what different can you do.Good Luck.

I disagree with Murali. There is a difference between the Hindu and Muslim mob themes. While the Hindu theme sounds like it, the Muslim theme is a little different, because it's fusion with words, and not stereotypical of Islamic music.

I'm surprised by Shyam's maturity as a singer! Great vocals Shyam. You've come very far from the earlier ones. I can see so much more confidence in your voice now.

Hey guys. Your work sounds interesting. As for the clips in the post, I liked the sad theme the best. How come I haven't seen the play anywhere around here? Are they planning to stage it in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore or somewhere?

Btw, do check out my blog. Can't boast of great production value, but I do post random songs off and on.

Kinda vaguely remember the chanakya title. Hopefully the tune doesn't sound similar to our theme. :)
Regarding both hindu and muslim theme sounding similar....thanks for pointing it out :) it was done little intentionally...

We thought having similar elements in both the themes will help the audience remember our tunes. Also towards the end of the play , both the hindu theme and muslim theme will be played together. Thats another main reason why we had some similar elements coming in both the themes , as it will be easier to merge them and wouldn't sound too odd.
But hopefully we brought in some different feel to different themes. If they are kinda delivering the same feel , then thats something that we need to work on.

Finally got to hear all of it.

Frankly I did not find a great deal of difference in conception between Hindu and Muslim theme except for the words. Both sound close to vedic chants.

The Sad theme is the best I liked. The pianization of revathi is a nice thought and woudl probably be apt with visuals.

Hey guys : good to see u back. I shall write the review on individual parts as and when I hear them.

Hindu mob theme - At one point I got reminded of

"taapa shantihi
Oshadaya shantihi
brahma shantihi"

Remember this ? Title music of the T.V serial Chanakaya which cam ein early 90s. But that was just a fleeting and unintended reminder. Other portions of hindu mob music is typically your style. But I did feel a bit empty in some places.
